This version of Data Analytics for Public Policy and Management is a derivative of Excel for Decision Making by Emese Felvegi, Noreen Brown, Barbara Lave, Julie Romey, Mary Schatz, Diane Shingledecker, and Robert McCarn; and availble at https://uhlibraries.pressbooks.pub/mis3300excel/. who based their work on How to Use Microsoft Excel: The Careers in Practice Series, adapted by The Saylor Foundation. This version of Data Analytics for Public Policy and Management is released under a Creative Commons Attribution NonCommercial ShareAlike 4.0 Unported license CC BY-NC-SA 4.0. The modifications made to this version include the addition of several chapters as well as renumbering all chapters to better adjust to the new version of the book. Chapter 7 was added from Sarah North and Xiaohua Xu, Introduction to Database Systems, textbook, which was developed as part of a Round 16 Textbook Transformation Grant, chapter 10 was extended from chapter 1 of the Decision Tree Primer by Craig W. Kirkwood, and chapter 9 was taken from Barbara Illowsky and Susan Dean, Introductory Statistics. All these materials are released under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 3.0 Unported License. We created original, new content to add Chapters 1, 8, 11, 12, 13, as well as Tutorials 1 and 2. We reformatted all chapters to be consistent and extended chapter 10 to include a warming-up exercise and a section on how to use Excel to program decision trees.
