8.4 The Rest of the Book
The remaining of the book consists of a description of several decision and policy models that can be helpful in making decisions and thinking about policy. We will start by exploring some basic concepts of probability and decision making under uncertainty in chapter 9. Chapter 10 will introduce Decision Trees as a powerful tool to think about choices under uncertainty. Chapter 11 constitutes an introduction to multi-criteria decision modeling, where the emphasis will be on how to consider many objectives or criteria when assessing decision of policy choices. Chapter 12 will introduce Linear Programming as a form of optimization limited resources. Finally, Chapter 13 will introduce the concept of simulation and ways in which it can be used for decision and policy analysis.
Good luck and enjoy this second part of the book.
