It is strange that on the one hand the UK Government publicly had its wrists slapped on 28 January 2014, for not following EU directives on child-abuse and pornography, when on the other hand EU citizens can’t be told what the European Commission or the UK Government are going to do about it. Here’s the one-line response I got when asking this very question via the AsktheEU site:
Directive 2011/92/EU is on combating sexual abuse and sexual exploitation of children and child pornography.
Yes, but how did the UK violate it?
What evidence does the European Commission have that it did so?
And why can’t we be told these things?
