This I'm not sure about. It may be that Universal Heatlhcare for Americans will look more like France's multi payer system than Sweden. I still think the public option might be best both politically and operationally policy wise

But this holds even if you are totally committed to single payer as the goal-the public option could be the first step. From there the transition could come over time and be fairly smooth
