Yes, there is a 550 page IG report on the investigation-though they still haven’t released information on the leakers.
The IG report should not be the end point but the starting point of Congress’ own much more comprehensive investigation. Let’s start with the fact that the FBI was known as Trumpland-not Clintonland-during the 2016 election and many there considered her the ‘antichrist.’

The IG report is not the end point but the starting point of any such investigation-though a very important part of the report remains outstanding-the report on the leaks of the anti Clinton pro Trump rogue FBI agents in October-November 2016.
1. Was there every probable cause for the email probe? A lot of confusion over wether it was a criminal investigation into Clinton or simply a review of the State department protocols behind its system for email security and record keeping. It seems the initial report that Clinton was under investigation was a mistake and despite Comey’s feeling ‘a little queasy’ about Loretta Lynch’s use of the word ‘matter not investigation’ it is a fact that Clinton never was formally the subject of the Midyear investigation. In fact it was an investigation without a subject.
2. Once the investigation started why were there so many leaks? Why did the whole world know within minutes of the Emailgate probe vs. why was the Russia probe kept secret until eight months after it commenced?
3. Why did it take so long to land the plane as by early 2016 at the latest Comey and the rest of the MidYear team knew perfectly well there was no there there-she wasn’t guilty of any crime. This belabored artificially drawn out ‘landing’ was the opposite of harmless as it wrongly created in the electorate an expectation that indictment was not just very possible but even likely-when in truth it was always clear indictment in a case like this was unlikely-as we see in Chapter A even before the investigation was launched in July, 2015 which is why it remans an open question if it was ever correctly predicated in the first place.
When Comey finally gave his indefensible press conference-all the more when you realize just how premediated it actually was, which becomes clear in reading the IG report-over 60% of Americans thought she should have been indicted-this is what came from Comey’s hamhanded milking of the clock.
Again, she was never even the subject of the investigation so the likelihood of conviction was never very high.
4. What about the fact that the FBI was Trumpland during the 2016 election where a sizable chunk of rogue FBI agents saw her as ‘the anti christ?’

Part of the investigation must look at the very strange sequence of events behind Weiner’s indictment-that the underage victim admits that she deliberately sought him out to see if he would sext her and contrary to what she said at the time she was not a Clinton supporter-in fact she and her father were Republicans. 6. Roger Stone must be questioned exhaustively under oath before the tv cameras about both what he stated in The Intercept as well as his own book on the 2016 election.
7. What was the probable cause for the launching of the Clinton Foundation investigation-the existence of which Andy McCabe leaked on October 31, 2016?

8. Comey’s constantly evolving and shifting explanation of both the presser and the letter.
A. Why did he give the presser? Did Loretta Lynch make him do it? No, by his own admission that was just a pretext for something he’d already long intended to do. It turns out Comey admitted that Russian active measures played a key part-a fake Russian document that was allegedly Lynch conspiring with: Debbie Wasserman Schultz.
FN: The IG report actually quotes Comey admitting that he knew there was no real scandal on the Tarmacgate furor but decided to use it as a pretext for holding the press conference after seeing how fired up Fox News got over it.
B. Why was there such a long delay from when they found the emails on Weiner’s LT-let alone the fact that these may have been planted by rogue anti Clinton agents in the NYPD and NYFBI-to when Comey gave his indefensible presser?

In this case it seems that the rogue agents did to Comey and McCabe what he himself did to the DOJ and his Midyear colleagues with the presser-they backed him into it-ie, as the IG report puts it more insubordination.
9. Was there political interference in the IG report by Trump loyalists? Why, when it was supposed to be about the treatment of Clinton in the email probe did this seem to almost get second billing behind the texts of Peter Strozk and Lisa Page and Andy McCabe’s leak of the Clinton Foundation which was somehow treated as an afront against Trump though it, of course, was yet another shot at Clinton?
Wasn’t seizing on a few anti Trump texts selective-what would the text messages of all those agents who thought Clinton was the anti christ and who started the Clinton Foundation on the very thin reed-particularly thin regarding probable cause-of Clinton Cash-look like?

10. Comey himself must testify-we can presume he’ll do it voluntarily. If he uses his usual shtick about how ‘come back with me to October 28, 2016 and tell me what you’d do’-the answer is simple: ‘I’d do what Mueller would do, follow protocol, in other words, shut up.’
UPDATE: So there has been very little public discussion-none I’m aware of-about Comeygate by the House Democrats. They were still asking questions in late 2017 but now seem to have forgotten about it.
This is not so surprising when you realize how slowly until now they’ve moved on Trump-Russian Collusion-which was the part of Watergate 2.0 the press actually covered quite vociferously-at least prior to Bill Barr’s fake exoneration letter.
The Dems-Richard Neal-haven’t even gone to court to demand Trump’s tax returns so this is no surprise. Nevertheless, the country still needs answers. With all the legitimate furor over Russian Collusion the fact is that the FBI took it upon itself to be the deciding factor in the election-the clear, unambiguous cause of Trump’s fake ‘win’ remains the Comey Letter.
How can Americans ever recover their confidence in democracy after biased Republican rogue agents decided an election in favor of a candidate they knew was being investigated for colluding with Russia?

Turning the tables on Republican charges that the FBI’s Russia probe is tainted by political bias, two top House Democrats are demanding Justice Department documents they say could reveal “politically-motivated misconduct” at the bureau meant to harm Hillary Clinton’s 2016 election chances, including potential leaks to a conservative website about the Clinton email investigation.
Days before Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein is set to testify before the House judiciary committee, the two lawmakers are calling on Rosenstein and Attorney General Jeff Sessions to turn over any material showing FBI agents or officials revealing “animus” toward Clinton.
“The facts point to a coordinated effort by some in the FBI to change the course of the Clinton investigation by leaking sensitive information to the public,” write Reps. Jerrold Nadler (D-N.Y.) and Elijah Cummings (D-Md.), the senior Democrats on the House’s judiciary and oversight committees.
The Dems were 100% correct-the real bias was anti Clinton not anti Trump. Of course, unlike when Republicans complained about the phony ‘bias’ against Trump the legitimate Dem concerns were simply ignored by what has to be the most nakedly partisan DOJ In history.
The letter complains more generally that the Justice Department has favored Republicans by responding to their inquiries while ignoring Democratic ones, and by failing to share documents turned over to Republicans with Democrats on the same committees. The Democrats say the Justice Department provided more than 1,100 pages of documents to Republicans on the House Judiciary Committee — without notifying Democrats, per standard practice.
“Unfortunately, we did not learn of your interactions with the Majority until after [Judiciary] Chairman [Bob Goodlatte (R-Va.)] mentioned his efforts at last week’s Judiciary Committee hearing with FBI Director Christopher Wray,” they wrote. “Your failure to treat us as an equal participant in this investigation, to simultaneously provide us with copies of that correspondence, or to produce these documents to our offices directly, is unacceptable and inconsistent with House rules.”
The Democrats also demanded that DOJ turn over a response to their separate request about FBI bias by Dec. 21.

But that is the last time I’m aware that the Democrats have raised this issue and so the absurd counterfactual narrative that the FBI was biased against Trump has gotten all the MSM focus.
As we saw in Chapter A there is so much not understood regarding Comeygate-like the involvement of Roger Stone and Jerome Corsi-which the ‘smart set’ would know about if anyone-other than me-actually read Roger Stone’s book!
Indeed, while the Mueller Report makes clear-contrary to the lies of Trump and the GOP co-conspirators, unfortunately amplified by much of the MSM-there was plenty of collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia-the other collusion was between the campaign-Stone, Corsi, Rudy, Giuliani, and the rogue anti Clinton pro Trump FBI agents.
But at this point the Democrats are simply allowing this outrageous theft of a Presidential election slip through the cracks of history.
Not that this will help the country to ‘move on’-just like pardoning Nixon didn’t allow the country to move on but simply increased the cynicism. When Pelosi fear mongers on the idea that impeachment will divide the country you wonder where she’s been the last 26 years. She doesn’t get how angry and disillusioned her own voters are-we are who gave her the Speakership.
After Bush v. Gore, Russian Collusion, and Comeygate how can anyone have faith in the system again? Only by a full public accounting of all the relevant facts and holding responsible all those complicit can the country hope to move on.
Sweeping it under the rug or putting your hand over your ears singing don’t stop thinking about tomorrow won’t get it done.
FN: It’s good to see Schiff’s HSPCI is looking at classified counterintel evidence in making the case for impeachment.
“The Constitution doesn’t contemplate the notion of having a classified portion of an impeachment process, and it would be political malpractice to try to pursue such a drastic remedy without fully informing the public of the complete factual record,” said Bradley Moss, a prominent national security attorney. “If articles of impeachment are pursued, the House will have to rely upon unclassified information or, as a last resort, use its own Article I authority to disclose otherwise classified information.”
Others noted that the House would have to weigh taking the extraordinary step of revealing classified information if it felt that information contained in secret files were crucial to prove their case.
“It’s going to be a challenge because if they were to bring articles of impeachment and get to the point where there’s a trial, ostensibly the president should be able to see all the evidence against him,” said Asha Rangappa, a former FBI counterintelligence agent. “Are they willing to make that tradeoff? They would need to work with the CIA and allies to get particular sources to safety if they’re human sources. They would have to be willing to dry up particular methods of collection because they would be getting exposed. That would be a decision they would need to make.”
Indeed, if they aren’t willing to make the intel public the whole process is undermined-how else can they bring the country along as Pelosi is always saying they need to do?
Again who knows what Richard Neal is up to-running out the clock? He hasn’t gone to court yet to obtain Trump’s taxes but even if they do obtain the returns before the election-if they can’t get it before then it’s a waste of time and they should just accept NY’s kind offer of Trump’s tax returns and make them public-Neal has suggested he may not make them public-then what’s the point?
The 1924 Warren Harding law is very clear this is within Congress’ discretion. Those who want to just forget accountability in a zeal to turn the page may discover that Trump’s Spirit will infect our politics for generations even if his body is happily ejected from the White House in 2020.
Yes we need to throw him out of Office but we must also expunge the Office-failure to do so means Trump’s Spirit will infect our body politic for generations whatever happens in 2020.
