UPDATE: Possible transfer
UPDATE: From Chapter A
The simple soundbite explanation is this is about a coordinated and widespread attempt by Trump and his GOP co-conspirators to improperly influence and rig a Presidential election-and a number of Congressional elections. And as Laurence Tribe says, Trump’s obtaining his Office by corrupt and/or illegal conduct is in itself an impeachable offense.
And the resulting legitimacy crisis, the resulting Constitutional crisis we’ve been living in the last two plus years.
Indeed, I would argue this is the most impeachable offense you can have, it’s foundational even more corruption in Office that someone at least legitimately won. This is why the talk about ‘overturning an election’ in Trump’s case is somewhat ironic-ok but what if the election manipulated and rigged in the first place?
End of UPDATE.
It’s a legitimacy crisis in the highest office of the land-the ‘President’ didn’t obtain his Office legitimately but through a conspiracy with Russia-Wikileaks and the rogue anti Clinton agents at the NYFBI.
It’s a conspiracy to rig an election. That’s the big picture. The reason Todd and his guests tripped over it last night is they wrongly think of Trump as just Al Capone rather than the Rosenbergs.
It’s about a conspiracy to improperly influence an election, about corrupt wrong doing in the acquisition of the highest Office in the land.
Very important point Laurence Tribe: "As we detail in To End A Presidency, pre-inauguration wrongdoing aimed at the corrupt acquisition of office is impeachable. So Trump’s misconduct can’t be set aside on the ground that it occurred before Election Day." https://t.co/oPpSnqfs05

This is about a legitimacy crisis in the United States at it’s highest level-the Oval Offce itself is filled by a man who didn’t win the Office legitimately. It’s a Constitutional crisis. It’s about a conspiracy on the part of co-conspirators Putin, Julian Assange, Roger Stone, Donald Trump and friends to destroy the candidacy of Hillary Clinton to the benefit of Donald Trump.
Every day the People’s WH is sullied by a man who wasn’t elected legitimately. It’s about conspiracy on the part of Russia and the Trump campaign with the help of Wikileaks to rig the election. However in a way it’s even bigger than Russia as we see that in other ways Trump and his co-conspirators cheated-the hush money payments to deprive Americans of the full picture, and the collusion conspiracy also included rogue anti Clinton pro Trump agents at the NY FBI and NYPD.
It’s about a conspiracy to defraud the American people.
The Republican party values partisan victory and ideological purity to such a great extent they were willing to stand lockstep behind a candidate who conspired to rig the election with the help of both Russia-Wikileaks and rogue agents at the NYFBI and NYPD.
It’s true though that the MSM framing of Stupid Watergate is so poor that people lose sight of the forrest for the trees-at bottom this is about a legitimacy crisis-does the ‘President’ belong in the Oval Office at all, or did he gain it through illegal and corrupt means?
The MSM coverage on the other hand makes it sound like 1000 different and unrelated cases of small bore corruption-which together still add up to impeachment but giving the whole story an incoherence that makes many folks in the mushy middle check out at least so far. We need to frame Watergate 2.0 better it’s about a legitimacy crisis, a constitutional crisis, a sullying of the democratic process itself.
3. So it's about via nefarious and improper means rigging an American Presidential election leaving us with a legitimacy crisis in the Oval Office itself-the 'President' himself isn't legitimate thereby sullying the Office very 2nd he's in it

6. So why am I saying this? I certainly am not a fan of Chuck Todd but he's t most conventional mind among t conventionally minded Beltway press and let's be clear they shape the conventional wisdom. The point is we will have to fight for the meaning of the Russia investigations
