1. Theses on the 2020 election. I largely agree with Abramson. I'm not as certain as he is but it's clear that Warren has run the best campaign bar none-it's not even close https://t.co/Ioyl4gQFT9

Watching Cory Booker furiously try to garner interest in his flagging campaign I think I finally get what it means to have 'fatigue' with this or that thing in politics. Senator what about Trump and Ukraine if You're Listening? Come out for impeachment or go home!

Again do the futures markets know something the conventional wisdom doesn't? Warren is now over 40% to win with Biden down to a 20 handle-ie her chances of winning are almost double per the betting market https://t.co/5nBCWK6PZb

2. I mean if you get 42% in a Presidential election that's a landslide loss-Jimmy Carter had 41%. Dukakis-who lost 41 states got 45.9% of the vote. Of course thanks to EC Trump 'won' with 46.1% But it's not appreciated how weak politically he already is and always has been

Kelli Harrison, 54, a political coordinator for the UAW who is undecided in the race, said later that “I kind of like my own insurance . . . and I don’t want to lose that, because who knows how they’ll roll it out.” She, like Biden, preferred working to improve the Affordable Care Act. “They worked so hard to get there. I don’t know if I want to say, ‘Let’s just throw it away and start with something else.’ I don’t think that’s realistic.
Exactly.
This is like the 1st time Bernie has shown any acquaintance with reality-and why? Because he's falling beyond Warren https://t.co/sZumVzCE4R

Congressman Max Rose has a generally good answer if he thinks 'President Trump' is interested in a deal on background checks-'seen no evidence' but then he turns to a widespread canard: 'Trump has no core beliefs'-if you do a Maddow-look at what he's done he does have them

Here's a question: What do Democratic and Republican leaders have in common? Both sides care more about Republican than Democratic voters. This is why the Dems focus so much on persuading the other side than maximizing turnout of their own base

Sam Stein asks Michael Bennet: with all he says about Mitch McConnell why not take away his power by ending the filibuster. Bennet's response? Canned talking points about 'winning over the middle of the country' Truly Bennet is the solution to question no one asked

Warren really is doing everything right
.@ewarren’s doing everything right.
She’s the best at not allowing daylight w opponents on topics of the day. She‘s been 1st or 2nd on Impeachment, filibuster, calling trump a white supremacist. Takes a crisp stand then resumes message.
Textbook. https://t.co/C5Qneujb8z

There’s a misunderstanding-she and Bernie are not identical-far from it and their base of support is very different, her’s is much broader. What makes her a real threat is her potential to traverse HillaryWorld and BernieWorld-she’s that rare candidate who is acceptable to both Hillarybots and Bernie Bros-for different reasons; she is seen as ‘progressive enough’ for many Bernie supporters without throwing mud in the eye of the Dem establishment the way Bernie does-Warren is in some sense a major part of the establishment even as she demands structural change. And yes it does not at all hurt that she’s a woman-in terms of appealing to Hillary Clinton supporters-like me.
Bernie always runs against the Democratic party as much as he runs against Trump and the GOP-and has a tin ear on important remember when he dismissed Planned Parenthood as ‘the establishment?’ Even now he can’t get the notes right on structural racism.
But for women and African Americans the ‘establishment’ isn’t the enemy it’s there to protect them-they themselves form it.
Bernie also simply doesn’t adapt-always saying the same thing every time in exactly the same way. And give Warren credit-she’s been able to win over a lot of Democrats not part of her natural base-it all started with her call to #ImpeachtheMFer.
Forget ‘Lanes.’ The Democratic Primary Is A Whole Freaking Transit System.
While her policies are progressive she-unlike Bernie-is able to bring in much of the Dem establishment as well-she may yet prove to be the consensus pick of the disparate wings in the Democratic party.
Warren’s ability to ‘take a crisp stand and then resume message’ belies the zombie idea that Trump’s racism/impeachment/etc is a distraction just hunker down and talk about healthcare.
