F. W. Faber, Arr.

P.M.

O COME to the merciful Saviour who calls you,

O come to the Lord who forgives and forgets;

Though dark be the fortune on earth that befalls you,

A bright home awaits you whose sun never sets.

Come home, come home, in darkness no longer to roam,

Tis Jesus who tenderly calls you today,

Oh brother; my brother, come home.

2

O come then to Jesus whose arms are extended

To fold His dear children in closest embrace;

O come, and your exile shall shortly be ended,

And Jesus will show you the light of His face.

3

Then come to the Saviour, whose mercy grows brighter

The longer you look at the depths of His love;

O fear not, ’tis Jesus, and life’s cares grow lighter

While thinking of home and the glory above.
