A. W. Marston
LORD, I am very helpless,
I have no might
To think, or speak, or labour;
No strength to fight.
2
Yet, since Thy Word declares it,
It must be true
That in Thee I am mighty
All things to do.
3
Then, Lord, I can be victor
O’er every foe;
O’er every sin that daily
Besets me so.
4
I can speak out for Thee, Lord;
For Thou each day
Wilt give me by Thy Spirit
The words to say.
5
I can be always shining,
At home, abroad;
I can be what Thou willest,
And all for God.
6
In Thee I can do all things,
And yet not I;
But Thou wilt live within me,
And I will die.
